What Does F61 Mean on a Vaillant Boiler?
The simplest accurate explanation is that F61 means the boiler has detected a fault in the system responsible for controlling the gas valve. The gas valve controls the delivery of gas to the burner, so the boiler's electronic control system must be able to operate that valve correctly and reliably.
Vaillant's ecoTEC technical documentation lists three principal areas associated with F.61:
